High School Media Center
Library Media Specialist: Mrs. Amy Thompson
Library Media Specialist Assistant: Mrs. Laisha Winter
The Library Media Center is provided for students to obtain reference/research materials, to use computers, and to check out books for personal or educational use. The library is a quiet study area where students are able to work without being disturbed.
Hours: 7:50 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. daily
Students may check out books for a period of two (2) weeks and books may be renewed as often as possible.
A date due is stamped inside each book to remind students when to return the book to the library.
Overdue fines are charged at a rate of $.05 per item per day.
Library fines must be paid before additional library materials can be checked out.
Overdue/fine notices are printed once a week and distributed to students in their homerooms.
It is recommended that students return overdue books when notices are received so that fines do not continue to accumulate.
Lost books are charged the replacement cost of the book when it was purchased.
Failure to pay the fine after receiving notices will result as a payment on check out sheet at the end of the school year.
All items printed from the library printer must be school related.
Students must use library computers for school-related work. The use of library computers for gaming or Internet searches of a personal nature is prohibited. Patrons found in violation of this policy will be prohibited from using library computers.
