Meet the Superintendent

Boone Central Community:

Hello, I am Dr. Damon McDonald and I am excited to serve as the Superintendent of Boone Central Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year.  I have now been in education for 29 years as a K-12 Special Education teacher at Giltner Public Schools for five years, was the elementary principal at Silver Lake Public Schools for four years, and served as Superintendent of Schools at Arapahoe, Aurora, and Deshler for the past 19 years.  I have enjoyed my educational journey and look forward to this school year by continuing to provide the best educational opportunities for all students.  I have always viewed education as the “We” that makes this a great place to “Be”.
